The backstory
Mental health disorders are illnesses and many suffer in silence. Find leading organizations that raise awareness and provide support and resources for mental health HERE.
The lyric above hangs in our hallway as a constant reminder that although we sometimes feel lost in the crazy, we are not alone and can find connection in the chaos.
Full transparency, we are just beginning our mental health journeys. We have not been clinically diagnosed with any mental health disorders, but have had discussions with health professionals about our mental health. In our house, we are no strangers to stress and anxiety - as we’re sure many of you aren’t as well. After a year like 2020 - and let’s be honest - the continuation of the madness into 2021, self-care is top of mind for us and we thought we’d share a simple - and hopefully helpful - tool to kickstart any self-care goals you may have set for yourself this year.
For us, we’re going for blackout and seeing if some of these small acts of self-care become habits. We’ve got a year. Let’s go!
